Nothing is more inspiring than learning from people who have found ways of turning obstacles into opportunities and figured out ways to be resourceful when they lack resources, who manifest their dreams and also encourage many other people to turn their dreams into reality. Just like the exciting story of a young woman who had turned her life around, became a succesful blogger and influencer as well as an inspiration for so many others female enterpreneurs.
Elaine Rau lost her job, her home and her brother-in-law, all in one week. She had to learn how to make an income online...ASAP, so she spent her last bit of savings and invested in a blog domain: LadyBossBlogger.com.
After just 3 years of blogging, Elaine Rau amassed an audience of 250,000+ followers worldwide, has been featured in hundreds of publications and has spoken on stages all over the world about how to become a successful blogger and influencer.
How did you get into blogging and became influencer?
It all started when I lost my job, my home, and brother-in-law in one week. Stuck in a developing country with an 80% unemployment rate, I had to learn how to make money online ASAP and managed to monetize my brand new blog the very first week. After a year of blogging, I was interviewed by the Huffington Post on my success and shortly afterward people started emailing me their blogging related questions which I answered then turned into my signature course: Start A Money Making Blog.
What motivates you as a blogger and influencer?
Time freedom. I love being in complete control of how I use my time. This morning I was tired so I slept until noon, then I worked until midnight. I am very self-motivated, but I like to operate on my own time and not around someone else's clock. Additionally, I like to take vacations... a lot of them. So I set everything up on automation and delegate all tasks out for the time I will be gone, this way I can relax for a month while my business operations keep going.
What advice can you give to anyone interested in starting their own blog?
Create content in batches and schedule it so that you're never scrambling trying to find something to post.
What kind of jewelry do you prefer to wear?
I like simple statement pieces, meaning they may be simple but there is something very intriguing and interesting about them at the same time. I like gold or silver and rarely wear any other colors.
